2017 GMC Acadia denali, release date
2017 GMC Acadia is the second generation full sized crossover to be launched under the Acadia series. Much of the details have been kept a secret as GMC is re-designing almost all aspects of the vehicle to meet standards thrown up by today’s generation and advancing technology. Radical shift in the 2017 GMC Acadia design, specification and even powertrain is expected. Engine power output and efficiency will surely see dramatic rise in figures, thanks to incorporation of new manufacturing and designing norms.
As most of the safety and entertainment features will be carried on from previous models, we can expect a lot of advanced technology used even in the lowest trim models. Safety and security features that will probably get featured are Emergency Services, Automatic Crash Response, Stolen Vehicle Assistance, Crisis Assist, Remote Door Unlock, Horn and Light, Roadside assistance, collision alert and airbags. Entertainment will probably see a standard 6 speaker surround sound system with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and satellite radio connectivity. For higher trim models there will be a 10 speakers Bose sound system. Overhead display with DVD player could be installed to provide entertainment for back row seats.
2017 GMC Acadia: Redesign Exterior and Interior
Seven seater standard models could be replaced by an eight seater one across all trim models in this new release. There is enough cargo space which increases with rear seats being folded down. For passengers there is ample legroom and headroom. Climate control with air conditioning, cooling and heating will be present with a likely addition of much needed air filters. 5.6 inch touch screen will let one control much of the cars entertainment and navigation features. The navigation module will probably have hands-free voice control and turn by turn navigation feature. Things like cup holder and armrest is sufficiently placed throughout the vehicle.
Latest pictures released on 2017 GMC Acadia show a reduced front air intake grille. LED based headlights have been designed to be larger and a better. Halogen fog lamps are also on the cards. There has been a chrome overwork on bumpers and wheel rims to give it a more radical look. Customers could also opt for different rim packages and a sunroof. Dimension wise, the car will have a length of around 200 inch, breadth of 78.9 inch and height of around 72 inch.
2017 GMC Acadia: Engine and Fuel Economy
2017 GMC Acadia will see current 3.6 litre V6 being replaced by a twin turbocharged and inter cooled V6. Power generation should probably be over 300 hp and torque over 270 lb ft. Transmission will probably see the introduction of a nine speed automatic dual clutch over the current six speed automatic/manual transmission. Fuel tank will have a capacity of over 85 litre and mileage will be under 25 mpg for highways and under 18 mpg for cities.
2017 GMC Acadia: Release Date and Price
No official figures have been announced for 2017 GMC Acadia yet but price should not cross $ 30 000 for base models. It will probably be released by late 2016 if no delays are announced in the future.
