2017 BMW X7 Interior, Price
When it comes to luxury cars; BMW is always at the forefront. The German automaker is set to release the 2017 BMW X7 which is a crossover SUV that borrows its design from the smaller X5. It will be built in the US but is meant for the worldwide market. Most of the details concerning it are currently based on speculation and leaked information on its design. The base engine will be similar to that found in the BMW X5 with other trims getting slight adjustments.
2017 BMW X7 – Body Style Changes:
The exterior won’t be drastically changed with its design similar to the X5. The headlights, LED fog lights, front fascia and kidney grille remaining unchanged. The main difference is that the 2017 BMW X7 will be a full size SUV, bigger than the X5 and will have larger air intake vents at the front and back. This means more room inside for an extra third row seats. The chassis will be made of hardened steel, aluminum and carbon fiber; it will have five entry points, 4 doors and a back entry. The wheelbase has also been increased to accommodate its larger size and also for driving stability. At the back the tail lights are wrapped in chrome and are placed beside a firm bumper and the roof has also been raised making this car look muscular and strong.
The interior of the 2017 BMW X7 has a large cabin with a luxurious high quality interior with enough leg and head room for 8 passengers. Front seats have a heating and cooling feature. Leather covers almost all aspects of the cabin with wood and aluminum used sparingly. Infotainment runs on iDrive system and it includes Bluetooth for phone and audio, a CD/DVD player, a nine speaker sound system, satellite navigation and USB ports all controlled from the 10.2 inch high-definition touch screen display. There is a panoramic sunroof for letting in natural light or a fresh breeze, a dual zone climate control and multiple knobs and sensors are on the dashboard.
Security features have been improved with the 2017 BMW X7 having traction control, adaptive brake lights, impact sensors, stability control with a brake fade compensation and a rollover sensor that triggers airbags and tightens seat belts. BMW assist will help with remote door unlocking at the request of the customer and stolen vehicle recovery. All these features make the X7 the best SUV that BMW has produced to date.
2017 BMW X7 – Engine Specs:
The BMW X7 drivetrain will also be borrowed from the X5 and will have several engine options. The base will be a 3.0 liter inline-6 petrol engine with an output of 300 horsepower and 300 pound foot of torque. The premium trim will have a 4.4 liter V8 petrol engine producing 445 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque. There will be a third diesel variant; a 3.0 liter inline-6 engine that outputs 381 hp and 546 lb-ft of torque. The last engine is a rumor but it is expected that the 2017 BMW X7 will have a hybrid engine with an electric motor to increase fuel efficiency. All this engines options will be mated with an 8 speed automatic or manual transmission depending on the customer’s preference and will be equipped with BMW adaptive transmission control.
