2015 Subaru Outback review

Fuji Heavy Industries has been producing cars under the brand name Subaru. 2015 Subaru Outback is one of its most popular cars, which it has been producing since 1994. It was introduced with the name of Legacy Grand Canyon, but it was abbreviated to Subaru Outback in 1996. The 2015 Subaru Outback outlook is designed on the basis of designs of two different Subaru models which are Subaru Legacy and Subaru Impreza. Even though it’s basic design is based on the above models but there have been various improvements in technology and design of this car.

After a series of improvements and launching of around 6 generations of this vehicle, its latest model has been introduced in 2014. But the models will be produced and will be available in the market in 2015. These improvements have been aimed to provide attractive style and better safety features.

2015 Subaru Outback model comes with a 2.5 litres, four cylinder engines. There is a Dual Active Valve Control system giving better engine performance. This engine is capable of generating around 173hp of power and 174 lb-ft of torque, which by no means is a bad performance. The buyers have an option to choose between six speed manual transmission and continuously variable transmission system, commonly known as CVT. The Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) and Traction Control system (TCS) help in providing better stability and traction control. With the help of the VDC, 2015 Subaru Outback always remains in its intended path. It is done by keeping an eye on brake pressure, steering angle, wheel speed and thus controlling engine torque.

The 2015 Subaru Outback also provides a good fuel economy, of 25 mpg in city and 33 mpg on the highways. It is better than previous models and provides a good competition to other models of this range present in market.


Its interior and exterior designs are quite attractive and comfortable also. In exteriors, rear ends are like a large wagon and roof pillors are quite big. It has wide rectangular grating and its large fog lights at the front end are one of its most prominent features. The windows are also quite large and provide a great viewing experience.

Apart from all these features, it is also equipped with a standard touch stereo system for listening music. It has a facility to get connected via Bluetooth and also has option to connect your iPod and stream music.

Like other Subaro models, the safety features of 2015 Outback are quite excellent. Features like brake override system, additional airbags, Eyesight safety system etc make driving much safer.
