2015 Nissan Rogue Japanese Pride on American Soil

2015 Nissan Rogue is a compact cross over sports utility vehicle released by Nissan, a leading car manufacturing company from Japan. It was first introduced in 2007 at the North American International Motor Show held in Detroit. It is marketed in Australia and Japan by the name “Dualis” and is essentially a North American variant of Nissan Qashqai. Rouge has a 5 door configuration with a front engine placement.

Exterior designing

2015 Nissan Rogue features a partial exterior makeover featured in a completely new line up as well as body colors. The new design offers an overall modernized aggressive look with a streamlined and aerodynamic body. Front end features new grille structure along with thin strips of chrome molding. Head lights and fog lamps have been restyled in order to accentuate the overall look. Tail gate and exhaust pipes have also been redesigned.

Interior styling

2015 Rogue has a well insulated and luxurious interior which can comfortably accommodate 7 adult passengers. Interior accessories include electric powered mirrors, a 7 inch LCD touch screen display, remote controlled locking mechanism for doors, satellite radio and navigation system supported by Nissan Connect. Other accessories include roof rails, panoramic sunroof along with other updated technical equipments.

Nissan Rogue offers standard safety and security equipment such as blind spot alert mechanism, parking sensors, rear view monitoring, surround camera system, Around View Monitor etc. Rogue is offered in 3 trim options which include – SL, S and SV models. These variants have been customized to suit the needs and preferences of customers.

Power train & Engine configuration

2015 Nissan Rogue has been provided with a QR25DE 2.5L, I-4 cylinder engine which can generate about 170HP of power and 175lbft torque. Also there is speculation about a hybrid model with a redesigned engine configuration along with an improved fuel economy.

Power transmission, Platform & Fuel Economy

2015 Nissan Rogue has an Xtronic continuous variable power transmission system to relay power from engine to wheels. It offers am all wheel driving as well as front wheel drive platform for all three trims. Environment Protection Agency measured fuel economy is about 26/33mpg on city and highway roads respectively.

According to company insiders, 2015 Nissan Rogue concept is speculated to be released later this year while it is expected to hit the stores in early 2015. Its price is estimated to range from $23,000 – $33,000 depending upon trim and other additional accessories.
