Mitsubishi i-MIEV is an electric car from Mitsubishi which has been in production since 2009. The base car comes in a five door hatchback version. Actually i-MIEV is an acronym used for the term Mitsubishi innovative electric vehicle. It is one the most popular electric vehicles in the world with huge sales all over U.S and Europe. Its engine is located in the rear portion and it primarily comes as a rear wheel drive. Since competition in electric car department has been increasing tremendously, you can expect huge modifications in the 2015 Mitsubishi i-MIEV.

Headlights and rear lights have been replaced with new designs. There also has been reduction in total weight of body by the use of much lighter materials. It is supposed to improve on-road performance. Aerodynamic structure is supposedly also improved.

On your first look in the interior of new Mitsubishi i-MIEV, you will not be able to make out if it is actually an economy class vehicle. It looks pretty elegant and comfortable on the inside. Seats are made of comfortable materials and some top quality leather. There is sufficient leg space and head space too. It holds four passengers with ease.

Infotainment system on 2015 Mitsubishi i-MIEV is pretty good. It comes with an 8 inch touch screen on the central panel. There is also Bluetooth connectivity and DVD player in-built. Safety features which include traction control system, six air bags, stability control system. Navigation system is also state of the art.

2015 Mitsubishi i-MIEV will run on a newly designed electric engine which would produce power of up to 66 HP. It would also produce good amount of torque, nearly 140 lb-ft of torque. Battery would be Lithium-ion battery, charging which would be comparatively easier. It would come with single speed transmission. There has been no official declaration on fuel consumption rate. Acceleration is also pretty decent, takes about 13 seconds to reach 60 mph. More details regarding drive train would be released within sometime.
