Engine and Fuel Economy:

2015 GMC Acadia is powered by a 3.6-litre V6 engine, displacing 288 BHP and producing 270 lb-ft of torque. It has an option of front-wheel drive (FWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD). Curb weight of 5,000 pounds makes its six-speed automatic transmission reluctant to downshifts.

It offers good fuel economy which is better than many other cars in its class. High end versions SLT-2 and Denali offer improved mileage due to use of lightweight aluminum in their construction. Estimated mileage stands at 17 mpg city/24 highway in FWD and 16/23 in AWD edition.

Special Features:

ODCT or the Onstar Direction and Connection Technology has been incorporated in the 2015 GMC Acadia along with blind zone alert, airbags, rear parking sensors, rear- view camera, collision safety system, stolen vehicle tracking and standard adaptive cruise control.

The higher versions like the SLT and Denali also boast of projector beam headlights, rear cargo audio control and head-up display on the windshield.

The estimated price for the base model is around $35,000 and that for the higher version is more than or equal to $48,000. The release date for 2015 GMC Acadia is expected to be by the end of July 2014.
